Back in the 90's when Sky Blue was established, providing voice services was very different to today.  Back then, it was all about making savings and changing your call carrier to get savings.  Today, businesses expect more from their service provider, telephony is business critical after all.

In the past, you could choose any alternative, but once connected, you would be stuck with the carrier until the end of your agreement.  Sky Blue pioneered multiple carrier access back then and the benefits of this strategy are still of great importance today.  Here's an example of the benefits of multiple carrier routeing:

You changed carrier from your incumbent 6 months ago but have noticed a reduction in call quality and in particular, calls abroad.  You never experienced these problems in the past and call your Service Provider to report the problem.

From the point of connection, a Sky Blue customer will have been enabled to make calls over at least 4 different carriers, so when you call us to report a problem, we simply change the carrier in use, this typically takes around 15 minutes.

However, most other service providers will have to go through a fault reporting process with the carrier in use, this in itself takes sometime to prepare and involves you having to record the times and dates of problems so that your service provider can then officially report the problem to the carrier.  The fact is that this typically means that you the customer have to put up with the problem for hours, sometimes days or route your calls via your incumbent - for which they will charge the basic and most expensive rates.

Even in the unlikely event (it's yet to occur) that all 4 of our carriers fail, we can still route your calls through your original provider - and better than many other service providers, you won't get a bill from your original provider and we won't charge any more for your calls than your normal tariff, provided you also place your line rental with us.

That's all well and good but what about VoIP/IP Telephony?  we hear you say.. we constantly evaluate each new service as carriers make them available, so if the product you want exists, chances are we are able to specify, install and support all under your single agreement with Sky Blue.  See our dedicated page on VoIP technology for information about the latest products and services available in the UK.

Having excellent relationships with the UK, with major carriers including C&W, Verizon and Telstra to name a few, means that we can truly build a tailor made solution that meets your business needs and not the sales objectives of your chosen supplier.  This also means that we will keep you abreast of the latest developments from the worlds leading developers of VoIP networks, IP Telephony and other pertinent communications solutions.
